A morning drive.

One Saturday morning, Parker and I decided to go outside and play in our jammies. He grabbed my glasses and got on his Mini Cooper for a morning drive. It was so fun to watch him play.

I did realize while taking his photo that he looked a little like a mini Kevin Bacon (Ren) from Footloose. The tossled hair, the attitude in the eyes...I was kind of waiting for him to bust out into a dance routine. It didn't happen this time, but just you wait!

Bike!

We gave Parker a bike today. He loved it and rode it all over the house, or rather, pushed it all over the house. This is a bike without pedals. It will teach him balance and he will go from this bike to a big boy bike without training wheels. Go Parker Go!

P.S. we took off the bunny head horn.

Go go go

We took a spontaneous trip to Monterey in July. We wanted to get away and spend some time together and we landed on the coast with great weather, fun activities and a very happy Parker. We went to the beach, we went to the Dennis the Menace Park (that my mother took me to as a child), and we just walked around Carmel-By-The-Sea. It was a specatular trip and we just loved having a weekend together.

I am the one in the pictures because Chris had a hurt knee and trailed a little behind.

Children's Museum

We went to the Discovery Children's Museum in the Bay Area where Parker shoveled gravel, ran in dirt, found a tree trunk tunnel, played in water, built a boat, discovered a hula hoop, walked on a waterbed, was the Captain of a ship (yo ho yo ho is his favorite song) and pushed every button and pulled every lever in the joint. This museum is amazing, with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, parents can let their children run, play and explore. Chris and I were in awe of how much fun Parker had at every turn. It was a great family day and just reminded us how lucky we are to have one another!

More Children's Museum

More cute pictures.

Monkey see...

monkey do. Two minutes before I snapped this picture, I used Parker's chair as a step stool to reach a high cabinet. Well, apparently it makes a great stool. Parker needed to use it to get the phone and did not like it when I asked him to get down.

Gymnastics fun!

Parker joined Teagan for a little gymnastics. His favorite part was running across the trampoline. His least favorite part was sitting still in a circle.
